The Ginger Cove SHOW, “Progressions" will be in the Ginger Cove Gallery, June 14 - August 1, 2025.

Art TALK: "PROGRESSIONS" Ginger Cove, South River Room, June 17, 2025, 2:00 pm.
Artists participating in the Ginger Cove SHOW are invited to give 5 minute talks about their art journey, from early work to present. Artists may also bring a painting to help describe & explain their interests & "progress." At this time we have a "wait list" to sign up & talk. Each "talker" gets 5 minutes. Our total time is limited to 1 hour.

2. TOM BOLANDER opened his talk, The Artist's Retirement: Purposeful Living,
with data-- that to join an Artist Commune would probably require relocation to California, Boston or New York. AARP statistics say 75% of elders want to remain at home. "What is a HOME?" he asked, which is more than physical location, but comfort, family, safety, a sense of belonging, interesting activities, learning opportunities, etc. Options depend upon physical needs and affordability. A discussion developed during his comments, with Tom's engaging audience participation and leaving us with food for thought, additional planning and conversations.
Tom provided a number of references, including a video of an inspiring talk by Bob Kramer, "6 Crucial Questions the Senior Living Industry Must Answer." See Attachments.
